- Commercial connections do not get the PM Surya Ghar subsidy. For a home it stays at ₹78,000, the same as 3 kW.
- At this size the roof area and shading usually decide the layout, so the final design follows a site survey.

What is the price of a 8 kW solar system in Punjab?
A on-grid 8 kW system costs ₹3,58,000 – 3,94,000 installed. After the PM Surya Ghar subsidy of ₹78,000, a home pays ₹2,80,000 – 3,16,000. A hybrid system with a battery costs ₹4,66,000 – 5,12,000 and is subsidised the same way; an off-grid system costs ₹4,65,000 – 5,12,000 and does not qualify for the subsidy. The final price depends on the roof, the mounting structure, cable runs and the panel model.
How much subsidy do I get on a 8 kW system?
₹78,000 for a home, whether the system is on-grid or hybrid. RSK Solar Energy's hybrid systems are grid-tied and net-metered, so they qualify the same way on-grid does. The subsidy is capped at ₹78,000 from 3 kW upwards. It is paid into your bank account 30 to 45 days after PSPCL inspects the system, not deducted from the price. Off-grid systems, businesses and industry do not get it; housing societies get ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities.
How many units does a 8 kW solar system generate in Punjab?

How much roof space does a 8 kW system need?

What sanctioned load do I need for a 8 kW system?
At least 8 kW. In Punjab a rooftop system cannot exceed your sanctioned load, which is printed on your electricity bill. If yours is lower, apply to PSPCL for load enhancement before applying for the subsidy.
