Privacy
Short version: we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they use, and we keep a record of taps on our WhatsApp and call buttons so we know which pages people reach us from. We never send what you type into the calculator anywhere.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand overall visitor numbers and which pages are useful: for example, how many people visit, which pages they view, roughly where they are (city-level, from IP address), and what device or browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to do this.
We do not use this data to identify you individually, and we do not combine it with anything you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out using your browser's cookie settings, an ad-blocker, or Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The calculator
The calculator itself runs entirely in your browser. The bill or unit figures you enter are not sent to us, to Google Analytics, or to anyone else. If you use the share button, the figures are placed in the link itself so that whoever opens it sees the same estimate.
WhatsApp, phone and email
When you tap a WhatsApp button, your phone opens WhatsApp with a message already written. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. What you send reaches RSK Solar Energy and is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. Calls and emails reach us directly.
We use the details you send only to reply to your enquiry and to quote for your system. We do not sell or share them.
Taps on WhatsApp and call buttons
When you tap a WhatsApp or call button, this website records that it happened: the time, which button you tapped and on which page, the page you first arrived on, the site that sent you (such as Google), your IP address, and the description your browser gives of itself. From the IP address we work out a rough location, usually a city or state.
We use this only to see which pages and places our enquiries come from. It is not joined to anything you then say to us on WhatsApp or by phone, and we do not use it to identify you. It sets no cookie. The record is kept on our own server, is not shared with anyone, and is deleted after twelve months. To have a record removed, contact us with the rough date and time of the tap.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. They are not used to identify visitors.
Links to other sites
Links to Google Maps, the PM Surya Ghar portal and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
