UTL Solar and Fujiyama Solar

People compare UTL and Fujiyama Solar as if they were rivals. They are two brands of the same Indian manufacturer, Fujiyama Power Systems Limited, so the useful comparison is between models, and the brand name on the box tells you less.

Updated 26 September 2026

UTL Solar and Fujiyama Solar come from the same place. Fujiyama Power Systems Limited, based in Delhi, makes and sells rooftop solar products under both names, which is why the two ranges cover so much of the same ground: panels, solar inverters and PCUs, and batteries.

Why the comparison still matters

Two products from one maker can still differ in warranty length, capacity, and whether a panel is DCR. That last one decides whether a system qualifies for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy, so it is worth more attention than the name on the box.

With one quote in each brand’s name, check these, model against model:

  • The warranty on the exact model, since it varies within each brand. UTL’s 3.3 kW on-grid inverter, for example, lists 10 years.
  • The capacity. A cheaper quote is sometimes a smaller system, and our solar calculator gives the size your bill needs.
  • The DCR certificate for the panels, if you want the subsidy.
  • Who installs and services it, which depends on the dealer as much as on the brand.
